I know a number of goofy, fun creatives that also purport their love of community. All my friends I want to see you enter the Open for Design: Denver Art Museum Community Challenge. Transform an everyday object into something better in your neighborhood and have it displayd in the museum’s first exhibit displaying their visitors’ work.
Submit your design to the museum on Saturday July 28th before 4 pm to have it displayed in the Anschutz Gallery in the Hamilton building beginning August 4th.
I want to see people enter – I know a lot of cool peeps who could enjoy contributing to this. Hello Becky of Denver Craft Ninjas, Sarah of maker night vision, Ted the mad science tech, Terry the community hugger, Mary the felt goddess, Rick the urban homesteader, Kipp the plane jumper, Sarah the DAM member, etc.
There is a twitter chat today 12:30 to 1:30 to discuss this concept with the hash tag #OpenforDesign via @DenverArtMuseum as well as comments via the event’s Facebook page.
I would also be down for a brainstorm session next Tuesday night to go over ideas. Email me if you wanna get together to chat.
